Security Supervisor

Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities)


Security Supervisor is responsible for safety and security of the Embassy, directly reporting to the Post Security Manager.
Ensure that all members of security staff are familiar with the Standard Operating Procedure for all locations.
Ensure that there is proper hand over from one guard to another, all guarding positions are manned, radio check is completed, all equipment is checked, records are up to date, security lights are all working at night, staff are appropriately attired and fully understand their Standing Orders during each shift.
Keep records confirming that the points above have been complied with.
Carry out appraisals in accordance with the guidance.
Complete enforcement of the Guard Force Security Standing Orders as issued by the Embassy.
Make random checks of all compounds to ensure guards are performing their duties as per their standing orders and all equipment are working and that any deficiencies are immediately replaced.
Conduct regular radio checks and report any occurrence and staff matters to PSM.
Deal with administrative enquiries and problems and produce a roster schedule and leave record of all guards.

Essential qualifications and experience

Any university degree
At least 3 years work related experience in a similar organisation and/or supervisor role
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team
Active and able to work flexible working hours
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
